Hi
I need to contact a business in France from the UK that has a telephone number starting with 0 892 707 ----- I have tried to get through but keep hearing a message stating that there is a problem. Has anyone found a way round this?

0892 is an Audiotel number at 0.34€ a minute (the highest). You didn't give the full number or business name, but you can go somewhere like www.geonumbers.com and enter the company name and hopefully someone will have posted an alternative. Also many French company websites give an alternative for pour leurs clients qui sont a l'étranger (foreign clients).

For reference you can see the charges for various 08 number here:-

Thanks for that Dave

The whole number is 0892 70 72 96
Premiere Classe Hotel Gueret
I have booked a room via the internet but the hotel closes at 9pm and I need to acces the hotel after midnight. They have told me to call them on the day for the code to get in the room. Our flight does not arrive in Paris until after 9pm hence my need for a number that I can call from the UK.

This site also gives a fax number, 05 55 41 16 38, which you could try. It's a little odd that a hotel would only have an 0892 number for calls.

The number is +33 5 55 41 03 26. I found it via a search on google.fr and did a reverse lookup on pages blanches and it came back as Hôtel Première Classe so I think it is still valid.

Most Premier classe hotels have a machine on which you check in yourself if the reception is closed. Worth a call just to see if Gueret has one
