Water supplier
by Martin • Thu 30 Sep 2010 14:11

Hi,

We have been using our well for water when we are on site but there is a mains supply leading to a meter and distribution system that was previously only used (tariffed) for animal/farm puposes we were told.

If I want to use this I need to get an account with someone so can anybody tell me who I should be calling and if they have an english line....

Our place is near Moutier-Malcard, half way between Gueret and LaChatre.

Ask at your Maire, who will be able to help, or if your water is run by another commune, as can be the case, point you to the correct location.

The meter reader came today , & on his van was " EBL" if that's any help. I'm pretty sure that the secretary at the marie does not speak any English. I can make some enquiries if you haven't had any success.

Regards
Richard

If EBL came then it looks like your connection will be done through them. They are at Gueret and do not have anyone who speaks English.

They are a public works company and the water bills are sent out by the Mairie (ours are in November each year, apparently).

The Mairie can arrange this although we did ours direct with them.
