Declaration Impots 2013

For those doing their tax return either on line or paper, the rate of exchange is 0.8161.

For those of us doing a tax return with a government pension, it seems, that the convention for 2010 changed the boxes we fill in on the form 2047, and those amounts go through to paragraph 1 on the 2042. Mine was changed for me for the last two years without telling me, so no penalty.

I missed the public meeting at Ahun recently, but unless you've got a fortune stashed away, the requirements to indicate your UK bank accounts and Assurance policies, are just for noting purposes, although you should declare your interest in savings.

And now the bad news. M. Moreil at the Guéret office is leaving this week to go back to school pour chercher la promotion. Best wishes go to him, but as he was the "English speaker" of the office" and specialised in the tax affairs of les étrangers, someone else has got to shape up. We were lucky enough to see him today, but he's off from today.

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” ~ Charles Darwin

Your worldwide assets with be counted towards Fortune Tax (Barème de l'impôt sur la fortune or ISF) which starts at €800K from 2012, so might catch some more well-off members.
