Electric underfloor heating

Has anyone any experience of installing and running electric underfloor heating? This would be installed during renovation with a good standard of insulation.The costs quoted for running in UK seem competitive, how does the price of electricity in France compare with the UK?

Have a look here for the French EDF prices for option base and option heures pleines/heures creuses. And here to compare these options.
