First of all check the post - "Latest announcement from DEFRA", to verify the pets can travel in the first place.

Frank Labarre and his practise partner Monsieur Leloux in Bourganeuf both speak english. They are one practise of two vets in the same stretch of road just after the roundabout.

The new rules are as follows:

1. Microchip pet
2. Rabies vaccination at least 21 days prior to departure from UK
3. Passport
4. Tapeworm treatment containing Praziquantel 24 - 120 hours before arrival in the UK - this must be done by a vet, ensure time, date, treatment name, vet's signature and stamp is noted in the appropriate section of the passport. Dogs only

Here is the Defra leaflet on travelling to the UK after January 1st 2012
