Good to see this list bumped up by our new member to remind us of your excellent efforts. I tested a few links and they are still active. Maybe room for more links to be added.

About DIY websites:

My late friend "Christian le Bricoleur" created a very helpful website (klussen-in-frankrijk.eu) for those renovating their traditional French houses. For the Dutch speaking community here in France. Trying to keep this knowledge base wihin reach for future generations of DIYs I managed to convert the content of this website (his heirs pulled the plug) into quite a lot of separate pdf files. Still in Dutch I'm afraid but with the help of Translategoogle - copy/paste the text - and the many pictures it will not be too difficult to access this source of information. One of Christian's many projects, a bathroom in Burgundy, the original discussion in English.

Time for more information in English, not surprisingly, about l'installation électrique: many subjects covered here.
