Cinema in Gueret
by charlie Tue 18 Jul 2017 19:22

We had an unexpected invitation from our English neighbour to visit the cinema in Gueret last night to see an English language film about the last Viceroy in India. It had been recommended by her niece living in Paris.
If you are in need of a language boost you would be rewarded by a good quality film. I expect the film to entertain and shock audiences regarding the (probably) accurate account of the British management of Partition giving birth to Pakistan. I never trust politicians; they don't change.
The seats are clean and comfortable and the air conditioning set to a sensible level.

..... and this week we went again to see Dunkirk. Good film but no Oscar winning performances and it seemed to be low on boat count.
