Clamp down on glycophosphates?

by Creusebear • Sat 08 Apr 2017 09:53

On a recent visit to a garden centre I noticed the weed killer aisle was roped off and in our local farmers shop there were no weed killers on the shelf at all. Has there been a recent change in the regs in selling glycophosphates?

Re: How often do you visit your home?

We live in interesting times. I hope that the checks and balances of a modern democracy will prevail. Whatever happens, it is going to be a wild ride. We are also looking forward to our next stint of sanity in Creuse at Easter.

DIY sauna

by Creusebear • Sat 14 Jan 2017 18:22

It has been dream of mine to build a sauna. I'm thinking of using a stone shed in the garden. Has anyone tried this? Most of the plans I have found are for dry heat saunas as opposed to wet steam room types so maybe they are easier to build/maintain. I was going to use an old cuisiniere from the ori...

Creusois December break around the 25th

by Creusebear • Sat 03 Dec 2016 19:46

Well, for the first time ever, we are going to spend ******* (please fill gap with preferred word - Christmas, Winter Solstice, Saturnalia, Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, my well earned week off) at our house in the north of the Creuse (and I am excited!) Both species executed their finest emergency stops and luckily both escaped without injury. This was m...
