Re: Fosse Septique - its management?

Hmmm, It sounds like your system is not going to pass, sorry to bring doom  saying it has sand & stones in it only reduces its volume so I'm assuming that it's the second tank that has this in, so it could be a prefilter, to clean the water a bit more before it goes...erm.. where ever it goes....

A vested interest in selling you stuff that you don't really need; just like so many garages do when you take your car for a MOT in the UK. what like water? They work for companies already operating in the supply / treatment of water and as a result there is a high risk of them having a vested interest. a vested interest in what? Making sure that their water supplies arn't poluted? it’s even worse because you can’t take your property round to another i...

Re: Nous Avons Arrivez at last!

by blaudeix • Sun 07 Sep 2008 19:58

If I may stress a point of language :
to have = avoir
to be = être
BUT to translate "We have arrived" in Frenche, we say " Nous SOMMES ARRIVÉS".

but " at last" isn't french....

Welcome to the land of piccy b*st*rds cowpat

Re: Plumbing, especially a bac a grasse

by blaudeix • Fri 29 Aug 2008 21:10

If you have a fosse septique on your land that you have to get emptied then it seems unlikely that you are connected to the communes system. If the fosse is less than 10metres from the house then you don't have to have a grease tank but it obviously helps keep undesirables out of the fosse.
