Firstly apologies for the lateness of the reply (the post approval process didn't flag this post until after the upgrade so it was missed). You do need to use use a fitting with an appropriate IP rating for the location, or zone, where it will be placed. The nearer the fitting is to a water source l...

Does anyone know what happened to Creuse News? The website seems to have been taken over by a nordic shopping site.

Re: Tarte au citron

by Dave • Mon 12 Jun 2017 23:24

You know these definitely seem to be out of favour lately, at least I haven't seen a small one for sale anywhere for a while and I quite missing them.

Perhaps they are out of fashion atm? :unamused:

As you can see the site has been upgraded and has a new theme, which hopefully will be better for smaller screens. :D You may need to log in again. You might find that a browser refresh might me needed (F5 is a shortcut to do this in many browsers). The site URL is now secure and the www part has be...

Re: Breathtest

... In Wilmington, Delaware, it's illegal to put pants on a cat.
Said virtdave
IMO this is a good law to have and should be extended to dressing up pets in general.

Re: Breathtest

According to www.securite-routiere.gouv.fr (and many other sources) the law is still in force but there is no fine. So yes, you legally have to carry an unused alcohol testing kit but the fine for not carrying one (€11) has been suspended indefinitely.

I've never had a kit myself.

Re: TVA on bathroom works

A auto-entrepreneur or micro-entreprise is exempt from TVA, and is legally obliged to make that declaration on all invoices, with the statement TVA non applicable, art. 293 B du CGI. He can be legit but must earn less than about €33,000 a year. He'll still need to be registered and have insurance an...

Pont Noir isn't currently that easy to read on small tablets and smart phones and wasn't designed with them in mind. Hopefully, I will be able to sort that out later this year.

You picked a good two weeks to visit weather wise. A lazy day by a river sounds really good. We did manage a short picnic on the riverside which was a real treat this early in the year. We also seem to have a single bat that lives in a crack between two big beams that span our barn door opening. I'v...

Re: Champignions dans l'enduit!

by Dave • Tue 18 Apr 2017 12:38

I've not had this problem or done that myself but I would expect the undiluted bleach to kill the fungus, but it might also bleach the colour from your render especially if you leave it on for so long. I'd be careful to treat only the affected area and also to test that the render is colour-fast.
