Strange Plant

by crendell • Tue 26 Jul 2011 14:12

We found this strange plant growing in your garden. It has yellow trumpet shaped flowers and is about 30cm tall. Can anyone tell us what it is...or do we need to call in the army! :)

If you really need it you can get Seriously Strong Cheddar from E'Leclerc. They also do red cheddar.
Hope this helps.

Plastic plumbing fittings

by crendell • Tue 14 Sep 2010 19:17

Plumbing fittings can be, as we know, very expensive in France. We are doing a major renovation project and chose to bring plastic speedfit fittings and pipe from england. Of course we ran out of fittings very quicly. However, we have just found a plumbers merchant that will deliver all types of eng...

Re: Roadside Advertising Signs

by crendell • Fri 23 Jul 2010 11:35

We contacted the owner of the sign and met him on site. Finally he saw our point of view and repositioned his sign on the corner of the road away from our property.
A great result.

Thanks again for your advice.

It is more than a meter from the road and so I think it is on our land. It is a great big thing - 1.2m x0.75m - which i...

Re: Fishing (or Angling)

by crendell • Fri 16 Jul 2010 19:29

Hi,your problem is that most pleasure lakes require a permit, which as you have said can be expensive. The day ticket 'carp lakes' mentioned are generally specialist lakes. They are quite expensive and require specialist tackle - the fish often go over 40lbs. Have you thought about a 'carte de peche...

Re: French Wildlife
