Wild Fires "Happen" in California...Sodden, cold Springs "Happen" in La Creuse! But then I guess people live where volcanoes tend to erupt, earthquakes are more prevalent, etc. We've all got our "upside reasons for choosing our "risk area". VirtDave, I don't know about "let us pray"....try "lettuce ...

Re: Importing a 2CV

by Tim06 • Thu 30 May 2013 09:29

For a car of 30 years old, (or older), you can register it on a Carte Grise Collection . For this you can get an attestation de conformite from the Federation Francais de Vehicules d'Epoque (FFVE). This costs only 50 Euros. Once registered on a CG Collection, a vehicle only needs a CT every 5 years.

Re: Cheapest and best way to transport a puppy to UK?

by Tim06 • Sat 05 May 2012 22:48

Jeanne,
Sorry, no advice regarding transport, but what breed/ crossbreed are your pups?
I have always had Nefoundlands or Newfie X retrivers.
i lost my last one nearly a year ago, and will be seriously looking around September.
I prefer females, (well most males would say that!)

iMac HELP!

by Tim06 • Fri 06 Apr 2012 17:49

I'm hoping there might be someone on this Forum who can help me with getting my G4 iMac working. It is the model with the dome base. It has been in storage for over a year, all boxed and dry. When I plug it in and try and start up, all I get is the "Dong" followed by a grey screen with Apple Logo. (...

Re: Certificate de Conformite LDV

by Tim06 • Sat 16 Jan 2010 13:00

Thanks for your reply Lestroisours. VUL appears to be the designation, but that is rather general as I believe it is the acronym for "Vehicule Utilitaire Leger". What I am trying to find is the "Type, Variant (Si Disponible),Version (Si Disponible", ref D.2 on a CG, or D.2.1, ("Code National d'ident...

Certificate de Conformite LDV

by Tim06 • Fri 15 Jan 2010 13:46

Hi, Has anyone tried, (or succeded), in getting a certificate de conformite for an LDV Truck? LDV , (and their French importers), no longer exist, and the procedure is not as simple as with a car! If anyone has an LDV LWB crewcab on French plates, I would be interested in knowing the "Type" as shown...
