potatoes, onions, carrots, green and red cabbage, leeks, beetroot, sweetcorn, peppers, romanesco, brocoli, celery, lettuce, mixed salad leaves, aubergines, BNS and courgettes.....mostly grown from seed and still tiny...BNS and Courgettes not come through so will prob go and buy some established plan...

There are Red Cross charities in alot of the towns (croix rouge). There is one in Bourganeuf and I am sure they would be happy to have any bits and pieces....

Yes agree with Redburmese that the poitrine fumé or nature is a good equivalent and a good price, own brand and 'labels' from most supermarkets

A lovely day out in our beautiful department

Hi just thought I would share my lovely day out this week. The sun was shining and up to about 16 degrees, not a cloud in the sky. We ate the menu at a little restaurant near Gueret at Chapelle Taillefert. 12€ menu which consisted of a croque monsieur with salad which pretty much resembled my usual ...

I find this strange as the house prices went up when lots of english were buying as the french were getting greedy and alot of them did very well out of selling!! Then to have the cheek to say the english are pricing the locals out seems a bit rich!

I usually just type and then use the spell check (in French) to change to the correct characters! Probably not good for my spelling :)
