The vets in Eguzon (about 15mins from Dun le Palestel) speak good english if you need them to and have been very helpful to us..

We bought our kitchen units from Leroy Merlin in Chateauroux.
The quality is good, no bits missing and easy enough to put together.
Its worth asking about ex display models as well as you can bag a bargain sometimes.

The shop is called Biozart and is just outside of Fresselines en route to Orsenne. Its right by the bridge where the turn off is for Nouzerolles. They are a french couple but the husband speaks very good english.

There is a shop selling local produce with a coffee shop that has free wifi and soon free use of a computer as well just outside of Fresselines

There's one at St. Plantaire (just over the border in 36, near Lac de Chambon) on the 29th.
Vide grenier all day with dance displays in the afternoon and fireworks in the evening.

I keep chickens and a dog. Would like a donkey but my husband isnt so keen.
When we lived in England I had ducks and geese. Which I had as pets. Its lovely to have fresh eggs each day from the chickens though.
