Try Glaudet Assurance, (Thelem) in Dun le Palestel.
There are 2 members of staff who speak english if you need them to. They are very helpful.Prices are competitive too.

We bought a kit from a company in Chateauroux. The pool itself is great but had nothing but problems from the company. Took over 3 months to get the installation instructions and then I had to ask someone in England who installs the same make to send them to me as Chateauroux lot said theyd been sen...

Have you tried asking at your local scierie ( wood yard) . Ours are very helpful and give you a choice of the different coloured oaks in seasoned or unseasoned.

We bought our kitchen units from Leroy Merlin in Chateauroux.
The quality is good, no bits missing and easy enough to put together.
Its worth asking about ex display models as well as you can bag a bargain sometimes. :lol:

Hello
The shop is called Biozart and is just outside of Fresselines en route to Orsenne. Its right by the bridge where the turn off is for Nouzerolles. They are a french couple but the husband speaks very good english.

There is a shop selling local produce with a coffee shop that has free wifi and soon free use of a computer as well just outside of Fresselines

There's one at St. Plantaire (just over the border in 36, near Lac de Chambon) on the 29th.
Vide grenier all day with dance displays in the afternoon and fireworks in the evening.

I have french lessons with a woman called Sophie in Dun le Palestel. She's very good and makes each lesson interesting. I keep chickens and a dog. Would like a donkey but my husband isnt so keen.
When we lived in England I had ducks and geese. Which I had as pets. Its lovely to have fresh eggs each day from the chickens though.
