It has been resolved, but thank you for your input. Can you please tell me what High Street means? Does that mean an expensive street with high prices? I don't know if this question has been resolved but if you were to go to any High Street photographer and take a copy of this NL document http://uni...

Also I believe that the head size is dictated by a computer program, so no matter where you move in the photo booth it will always size your head to the French requirements. And in our case, we would have to move backward through the wall. Because the head size in the French photo is too big. it is ...

I'd much rather pay extra and make sure that the photo is exactly right, otherwise we will be driving to Paris for nothing. I'm not sure what you mean by spend the day at home. I'm American and that's a bit far to drive to spend a day ha ha. I also have a Dutch passport because I fulfilled the langu...

Hi David I'm sure they're acceptable for French drivers license iand passports. However, as I stated in the original post, I need a photo for my Dutch passport. And the requirements are different. If you go to the Dutch embassy online you can see the differences. Unfortunately the French photo requi...

Sorry I don't have any idea where the prefecture is. You might be talking about the place where I called, I found it on Google. He said it was close to a church. I did finally manage to get a hold of him and he didn't hang up on me this time. But he was a bit wacky and said his machine was broken un...

Unfortunately the French photo requirements are different, mostly with respect to head size in the photo. It won't match.

Hello all Not sure where to ask this, but I need a passport photo for my Dutch passport. I have to renew it in Paris and I do not want to drive around there anymore than necessary so hope there's someone here, maybe Gueret because that's on our way. I found one on google named Albert and called him ...

Re: Planning a visit to La Creuse for the first time.

by Siptea • Tue 16 Aug 2016 10:36

Our house was overpriced even with our lower offer. The bank had a lower appraisal so we had to come up with even more cash to cover the rest of the loan that they would not fund. There was way more work needed on the house than we originally thought, everything was neglected or messed up and needed...

Thanks, Dave, we'll be going Sunday. I figured they'd have it if we waited a bit.

Sorry for the late response, we lost one of our kitties last week to cancer.

I appreciate the ideas. Gueret is only a half hour from us and they seem to have a selection of original versions. No Star Wars yet, but maybe you have to wait a few weeks.

Thanks,

I love the area here and recommend it, near to Gueret is good in my opinion as there's loads of services there. But our hamlet is only 7 kms from 2 villages with services as well. If you come to La Creuse, please let me know, I'd be happy to have you over for dinner and tell you all about life here ...

Hi folks

Not sure where to post this, but I need to know a specific theater that will be showing Star Wars in its original form, no dubbing. Can anyone help me? I live between Jarnages and Chenerailles but willing to travel for this.

Thanks

Dentist

I hope that someone can PM me with the name of a good dentist close to my area. I live between Jarnages and Chenerailles. I went to the dentist in Jarnages and he refused to clean my teeth. I have now chipped a tooth and need it repaired with some cement or the like. I would prefer someone who speak...

That comment gave me a laugh, thank you! I will call them, if they can't help me maybe they know someone else.

You might check with David & Dot Grant,

They might do this, and in any case would be amused....

Boarding chickens

by Siptea • Mon 02 Dec 2013 19:04

We have 4 pet chickens and I am looking for a long-term solution for someone to take care of them when we go on vacation for a few days. They need to be let out in the morning and safely tucked away in the evening so asking a friend to drive over here twice a day is not practical. And for many reaso...

Two big cans of spray directed at them ( 6 m range) and hubby drilled a couple holes in thye attic floor and put mousse in their nest and still they keep coming :( They are banging on the window right now to get to the light, it creeps me out.

They are scary and aggressive! You're right!

My husband had the same idea - not to put a hole in the ceiling as it would always show due to the fact that there is patterned wallpaper, but to drill a little hole in the attic floor and spray some killer mousse foam there. I heard them still last night, but the activity was much less, maybe we ar...

We can't sleep, and we are exhausted, that's the problem. They make this rapping noise all night long, it's really loud, like a constant scratching and sounds like they're tap dancing or something. Also whatever they secrete is staining the white ceiling, there are dark spots there now where they ar...
